Does long hair really matter in sprints?

does it really matter how long my hair is for running sprints? like would i run alot faster with shorter hair???

Does long hair really matter in sprints?

I'm assuming you're talking about running since you don't necessarily "run" sprints in swimming.

For running it actually does matter because the long hair will distract you when you run. If you're not totally focused on your running your time will reflect that. It's not so much a matter of air resistance, it's really a matter of psychological preparation and ability.

The same thing goes for swimming in case you're actually asking about that. Besides, from chlorine's effect on hair it's better to use a swim cap anyways. Plus your time does increase a little bit with the more hair exposed but it's really small in reality.

why did u put nm

Does long hair really matter in sprints?

Just wear it in a bun and you're good. If you're going for olympic quality then yes hair (body hair) does make a slight difference.

Does long hair really matter in sprints?

you can have long hair but you should where a swim cap a swim cap makes so it's like your bald

Does long hair really matter in sprints?

you can pull it in a high pony tail and into a bun but honestly it just probably won't bother you execpt you being in your face

Does long hair really matter in sprints?

you posted this in swimming and diving. but yea i would think that long hair would slow you down (drag).
