Well, not that I would know anything about it, but in my opinion, yes! Do what you want to do, not your mom. If it really bothers you, talk to her about it, but I think it would look great long! Just make sure it either has some texture or body. You can do this by trimming it a bit if it's too long, getting bangs, or getting it layered a bit.

Anyone who would cut or not cut their hair because of what guys might or might not like, or your mom's opinion, needs to grow up. I assume you are old enough to make your own decisions? If you do one thing for a man, then he'll want you to lose 10 lbs, or dye your hair. Be your own person. Women with short hair don't have problems getting men. i have always had long dark brown hair that i could almost sit on. then i cut it and hated it!!! and swore i would not do that again.. my hair is long again but it has taken a long time!!! i think that long straight hair is classic if it is health and taken care of. it is perfect you can put it up, roll it, twist it, braid it, pig tails, pony tails, part it on the side in the middle, whatever you want to do!!! dont cut it most guys love long hair and in the bible remember samson's hair was his strength!!!

I think long hair will always be in style. Yours sounds very long so perhaps a trim to just below your shoulders. It will make you feel like you've had a dramatic change without the horrible feeling of "oh my god its too short". I've been boy short and now I'm long again and I would pick long over short any day, you can do more with it and just tye it up when you are having a bad hair day!

Maybe if you feel like a change you should get a good trim and maybe a new colour or some streaks to give you a new look

I have 2 hairs that will grow extra dark and extra long. One the under part of my hand (few inches above my wrist). The other near the back shoulder. No pain or anything, just curious.

when its wet.. use a comb.. a comb with several prongs.. that are spread appart.. wide mouth i guess....

if after washing and combing and it gets stuck.. those ends should be cut off... its a sign that they are split..

Make sure you get regular trims cuts - not a lot but enough to cut any split ends. I have long hair and never get split ends -I use a few different products to keep moisture in it. One new product I tried was Wei Fig conditioning cleanser - it looks/feels like conditioner but it used like a shampoo (or a leave in conditioner). It doesn't lather (many products that lather actually dry your hair out) so I use it every other day but use it as a leave in conditioner every day. My regular everyday shampoo is also one that contains moisture. I switch from Abba to Suave coconut. Coloring your hair also makes it more dry or damaged so I would use a nonpermanent color if you do color your hair.

if you do want to grow it long, after it has grown a little go to the hairdressers to get a new layer put in at the bottom. If you want to keep it the way it is, yes, trim the ends occaisonaly. Get someone to do this for you if your doing it at home, trust me I tried to do it myself once. It goes all uneven and looks awful.
