How long for hair extensions?

I have hair that is about 6" long and thin. What would be the best way to deal with first time extensions? Since I'm not sure if I want long hair and wanted to try it out first, I was thinking about clip-in extensions. Any advice? Will it work? Will they be hard to put in by myself?

Thanks in advance!

Get them put in, the longest you could manage and then go get them razor cut at a slon to blend them in. This will not cut any of your own hair, and you can go any length. I have had this done personally myself.

Yes, I agree that maybe you should try clip-in extensions first to see how you like them. They shouldn't be hard to put in yourself. Just tie/clip up the top layers of your hair to make it easier. Then you can easily clip in the extensions. If you do like them, go with the ones that are glued/weaved in. As for the length, it's like regular hair, so it depends on how much work you're willing to put into it to maintain it. If you don't wanna spend too much time with it, keep it shorter.

I think that clip in would be best for your situation. You could possibly look in to the "hairdo" a collection by Jessica Simpson and her hair dresser. Because if you don't like them you never have to wear them again but if you chose to not start with clip ins your stuck with them unless you get them taken out (this will only cost more money)

Good Luck!!!!!

Whatever you do... Don't let anyone talk you into "glued in " extensions . Or anything of the sort. Clip-ons sound like a good idea...
