I have very long hair and only thing make it very healthy is not to use any color treatments, regulary cut the ends, don't wash it more than twice a week...and very soon you will be proud of your healthy, georgeus hair

Sometimes the hair stops growing because it has a set point in length. I would just wait it out.... time will only tell.

let it grow..

some tips i've heard over the past.. are

when its wet.. use a comb.. a comb with several prongs.. that are spread appart.. wide mouth i guess....

if after washing and combing and it gets stuck.. those ends should be cut off... its a sign that they are split..

and use a palm brush if your hair is straight :) oh and only use a brush when your hair is dry

Don't use straighteners, hair dryers and other hair tools too much because they will dry your hair out and it'll be frizzy. use them only for special occasions. Also use some good shampoo and conditioner I suggest Pantene Prov

if you avoid split ends, then you will allow your hair to grow more in between cuts. And how to avoid split ends? Say good bye to brushing, blow dryer, color treatment, and anything that requires the use of aggressive chemicals. When in the swimming pool or in the see, protect your hair with palm oil (which is solid at room temperature and thus doesn't melt away). Rub two drops of jojoba oil on your strands when you feel that they need extra moisturizing. Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax which composition is very close the human sebum, the fat fluid produced by our skin and scalp and that impregnates hair (without sebum your hair would be brittle and dry). And try to buy shampoos that don't contain SLS (sodium lauryl or laureth sulfate) which are cheap but agressive molecules that the cosmetic industry should be ashamed to use.

Make sure you get regular trims cuts - not a lot but enough to cut any split ends. I have long hair and never get split ends -I use a few different products to keep moisture in it. One new product I tried was Wei Fig conditioning cleanser - it looks/feels like conditioner but it used like a shampoo (or a leave in conditioner). It doesn't lather (many products that lather actually dry your hair out) so I use it every other day but use it as a leave in conditioner every day. My regular everyday shampoo is also one that contains moisture. I switch from Abba to Suave coconut. Coloring your hair also makes it more dry or damaged so I would use a nonpermanent color if you do color your hair.
